Liquidmetal Technologies, known for its revolutionary amorphous metal alloys, is expanding its global footprint by establishing a new manufacturing company Hangzhou Liquidmetal Co. Ltd, located in the city of Hangzhou, China. This move reflects Liquidmetal's commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-performance components in sectors ranging from electronics and medical devices to industrial applications.
Hangzhou is a rapidly emerging innovation hub located in the heart of advanced manufacturing corridor, surrounded by global companies such as Foxconn and Alibaba. The region offers unparalleled access to world-class suppliers, subcontractors, and research institutions. Beyond these industry giants, Hangzhou also hosts over 1,100 additional technology companies, 14 major universities, and dozens of national research labs—all of which contribute to a thriving innovation ecosystem that will directly benefit Liquidmetal.
A key aspect of this expansion is Liquidmetal’s new partnership with Shimge Pump Industry Group. Shimge, a privately held industrial leader in advanced water pumping systems, has developed a cutting-edge industrial park in Hangzhou. Through this partnership, Liquidmetal will co-locate within Shimge’s facilities—gaining access to a turnkey manufacturing ecosystem with integrated R&D labs, supply chain support, and infrastructure built for high-tech collaboration.

The Liquidmetal manufacturing facility will feature 71,000 square feet of manufacturing space which can hold up to 40 die-cast machines with the option to expand as necessary and will be fully operational in the middle of 2026.
