Thales Avionics, Inc. Delivers the First In-Flight Entertainment Systems Featuring Liquidmetal® Case to Commercial Airline Customer

LAKE FOREST, CA, April 06, 2006 -----  Liquidmetal® Technologies, Inc. (LQMT.OB) Thales Avionics, Inc. has delivered the first in-flight entertainment system featuring the Liquidmetal® Case called the TopSeries to one of their many commercial airline customers. The controllers will initially be in the premier and first class cabins of the aircraft. The Liquidmetal® Controller was chosen for strength, durability, and cosmetic appeal over other available packaging technologies commonly used in aircraft handsets.

The agreement represents Liquidmetal Technologies first step into the commercial airline in-flight entertainment market. Thales is a leading manufacturer of in-flight entertainment systems, cockpit and cabin electronics. The company serves the global aerospace market.
